Shin-Etsu Chemical Releases Website, “ThermalvisionTM” to Support Solving Thermal Problems
Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, President: Yasuhiko Saito, hereinafter, “Shin-Etsu Chemical”) has launched Thermalvision™, a website that helps electrical equipment and electronic device designers solve thermal-related issues. This new platform provides a one-stop search for information on thermal-related products not only from our company but also from other companies, and users can easily perform on-site thermal simulations. Thermalvision™ is available free of charge, including functions for registered members.
Heat is unavoidable problem in designing electrical and electronics equipment. Typified by the thermal problem of data centers due to the spread of generative AI, the number of fields where heat is an urgent issue is increasing, such as automobiles, communication equipment and so on. Shin-Etsu Chemical is engaged in TIM (Thermal Interface Material) as one of the heat dissipation materials used in semiconductors and electronic devices. Thermalvision™ will provide a wider range of support for engineers and designers who deal with thermal issues. We will introduce materials and components that contribute to solving a wider range of thermal problems, not only our products but also those of other companies, so that we can provide effective support for solving them.
Thermalvision™ provides a one-stop shop for all users to investigate information such as:
①a database of model numbers and specifications for heat-dissipation-related products, like heatsinks, fans, TIMs and so on, where users can access directly to the manufacturer or seller of the product through links in the database;
②thermophysical properties of various materials, formulas related to heat, calculation methods and;
③the following special contents for those who have registered as the members.
1)Summaries of the heat-related patents and papers, updated regularly and
2)Thermal simulations that can be handily used online, where the required physical properties are easily quoted from the database.
Thermalvision™ aims to introduce a wide range of heat-related materials and components, so that we would like companies that have heat-related products to contact us. Shin-Etsu Chemical wishes to help solve thermal problems through Thermalvision™, and that it will contribute to the expansion of the relevant market.
