Methylene chloride is an organic solvent that is practically nonflammable, has strong solvency and high stability. It is widely used in various applications such as resin manufacturing solvents and paint release agents. Furthermore, because of its low boiling point, it is also suitable as a solvent and an extractant for organic intermediates.
